And the school bugs have arrived.

I should start this off by saying that.... I'm sick so if this blog makes very little sense to you then... stop reading or keep reading the rambling of a sick lady... lol.. Currently the state of my family is:

Curtis: My five almost six year old son (11 days) has asthma this is something new just started this year. He's been my mostly healthy one up until this point. And I'm praying God will return him to none asthmatic status soon. Heavens know six meds is to much for my brain most days. Not complaining a lot of you might have a lot more to deal with... just stating from my thoughts atm. anyway he's been in kindergarten four weeks we got his progress report today in fact. Straight S' which means above average or average. They keep telling me how smart he is and that he could be in first grade... however his writing still needs work and social skills too. So we are choosing to keep him in kindergarten that way he is with his best friend/ God brother Alex. Also started soccer this week and is loving it.

Nick: Started 3year kindergarten this week and so far is adapting well. He's gone to the potty three times today... (can you say SWWWWEEETT FINALLY) Lol I'm proud of him. I'm glad he's socializing more there too. I had a mommy moment today when we had to sign a permission form for him to go skating tommorow with his class.. my first instinct was just to keep him at home or go with him. However after talking to my good friend Dawn we decided we were just having mommy moments and everything would be ok. We have chore charts at home and he loves getting stickers on his...

Michael: my one of a kind crazy husband.... he's awesome.. he's looking for a job right now and not having much luck however God is good... so patience... also waiting on a PT test to pass so we can finally be active duty. He's doing well...

Me: i have walking pnemonia and Laringytis... Idk how to spell all those things the right way. So I'm sick ... but life keeps going especially if you are the only mom and driver in the family. I'll be ok. We are going to Anderson because it's drill weekend this weekend. I'll keep you posted on how that goes.

Signing off for a bit

SOoo... Here goes nothing :)

I've missed blogging now that I've gotten started. Dawn the owner of Mama Monkmee blog is amazing. She made my blog over for me and I am just in awe of her ability to learn code and all that stuff on her own. I look at it and think it's another form of algerbra and get scared. She's the best. So since I haven't bloggged in about a week here's the low down on life.
Myself.. I'm getting along fairly well I've had a great week last week. Spent a lot of time with friends. Well needed time. I've also gotten started going to a bible study at Lockhart Baptist Church about Daniel. It's only been one week but it's challenging. Also my Grandparents celebrated there 60th wedding anniversary this past june and I've been talked into doing a scrapbook for them. Other than that everything is good.

Michael - the husband... He's been looking for work and applying for unemployment and putting up with me and our crazy kids. For a few years now he's been working on writing short stories for practice to write one to publish one day. Lately he's been focusing on that and doing Pt to pass his test so we can go FULL Active army this reserve stuff isn't cutting it.

Curtis- Has been in school well over a week now and brought home green smiley faces everyday. They go by a card color system Green is good, yellow waring, orange loss of recess, red call home. He's proud of keeping his Green card ... they have been working on writing and learning there colors he can spell orange by memory which is pretty good for him. He'll start soccer next week with his God brother Alex that should be great fun. He's excited about awana starting at the end of septemeber too.

Nick- Cpt. obvious... which is what we call him is stating the obvious about everything. He's learning a lot too. the colors along with his brother. He starts 3k next week with his God brother Eian... I hope all goes well with that ..

So there is your update. I want to start doing giveaways at some point. but am still working with Dawn about how to start :)

Today of all days!

Today was Monday and after a hectic weekend of going to Anderson,Greenville, Maudin, Greenville, Williamston and Union. I must say I was glad to see monday come this week or so I thought, The week of Curtis going to school everyday and trying to get on a schedule. If you don't know me I love schedules they keep me sane something I adopted while my husband was away doing the military thing. Yes I am rambling ok ok back to the point. It's been a crazy day to follow a crazy weekend.
Friday after school we headed to Williamston to my parents home because Michael had drill this weekend. Meaning I couldn't go to my cousins wedding instead taking care of the boys all day alone saturday (supposedly not that big of a deal). Anyway we went to the grocery store that night to pick up milk and junk. Got the boys to bed because we knew they had to be in the car saturday at six am... and my boys aren't so keen on getting going before it's daylight outside. So saturday rolls around and it's off to take Michael to drill... I made a wrong turn going to the same place I've gone for months now to get us "lost" on the way there. On the way home I listened to my boys complaining because we didn't have the wii. I am NOT a video game fanatic like my husband and his gang of friends.. so that just made me want to take a bat to the wii.. Expect that's my system.. lol anyway we made it through a crazy day... and Sunday came along with it brought family day at this park in Mauldin... I don't know much about how to get to Mauldin.. we had a map leading us to the park from the Unit. You would think Military men would make a map you could read but, no fourty five minutes of driving around in circles we finally made it to the park thanks to some big military truck.. Family day was a hot fun filled day it was also long. So needless to say I was looking forward to today and getting back into a scheduled routine.. but not so much today...
Instead we got a slow start this morning but quickly ... became much faster... I took Curtis to school and then headed over to my friend Dawn's abode... to drop off random army papers which I'm sure are usless however I wanted to see her anyway. So I spent most of the MORNING with her which was the HIGHLIGHT OF MY DAY. lol everything else besides playing a game with all three of my guys and story time has been a blur of going going going... I"m thankful to God for this day. I'm thankful for my family and friends I love spending time with all of them. I'm thankful for a restful night (ahead of time). I'm thankful that I can constantly talk to my heavenly father and say stuff I wouldn't dare say out loud in the south.. For all of these and more Lord I say thank you!

Made it through!!

Ok so we made it through two days of k5 and a late 3 year old check up. Curtis walked right into the room on day one and never looked back. I don't know weather I am happy or sad about how that happend, I suppose a bit of both. When I picked him up yesterday he was excited to tell me about playing at his new school. He liked his teacher and that she was pretty. His teacher Mrs. Mitchell is very sweet and pretty. He always has a thing for blondes and she is one :). He was happy to tell me he kept his green card all day (which means he wasn't in trouble at all). He didn't make any "friends" yet but he played with a lot of ppl. Today he ran into his class again I told him goodbye but I don't think he even heard me. It's ok I know I'm doing a good job when he can be independant and walk into a new situation with a smile. While he was at school, Michael and I took Nick to the pediatrician here in Union for the first time. He was late for his three year checkup due to another one of his famous ear infections. We saw doctor Mulford or something like that. Nick is 31.5lbs and 37 and 3/4th inches tall. Right in the fifty precentiale. Considering he never eats much that's better than what I expected. After that it was nap time and we all knocked out for an hour. Then it was off to pick up my Curtis. The second day seemed to go really well to. They did something like a gingerbread man hunt all over the school he so enjoyed that. He was I kept my green card again today and I am going to keep it all year cause that's what happens when you're good and I'm gonna be good. So proud of the way he thinks (most) of the time. I had another task to do and curtis decided to stay with his great grandparents. When we got back home he was asleep with his head in his hand. I sat down beside him and he just fell into my lap. That's what I love my independant son who still likes to cuddle every so often.

Tommorow is Nick's turn I promise :)
